Hello, I'm Juan.

I teach English and Spanish online, from Porto. My lessons are conversations first: you talk, I listen, and the vocabulary you need comes out of what you want to say.

I bring music, philosophy, history and travel into the lesson, because a language lives in all of them. A song can teach an expression better than a list.

Patience and clear explanations come first. Some of my students thought it was too late for them. It wasn't.

Juan is a great teacher! I really enjoy the speaking practice: besides building advanced vocabulary, idioms, phrasal verbs and collocations, Juan brings curiosities about music, philosophy, history and travel. Light, interesting lessons. I strongly recommend him!
